4 Year Old Pre-School
We have a very unique 4 Year old program at Leslie Moorhead Pre-School with many special activities involving all the children
We have our unique LOTE experience with having French introduced at pre-school age by Stephanie here the children learn greetings, colours, number, rhymes and songs this is done as part of Monday amd Tuesday sessions.
Our sessions reflect the interests and developmental needs of the children and include PMP, maths and literacy games, science experiments, cookery sessions, music and art experiences.
Sammy Seahorse and Daisy Dolphin are our class mascots!
During the year each child has the opportunity to take the toys out and about and document their experiences in a book. This experience is then shared with all the children in the group. This Activity promotes awareness and care of our environment.
As well as having Sammy Seahorse and Daisy Dolphin to stay with a child from the class each week, one of the class will have the opportunity of taking ” The Mystery Box ” home. At home an mystery item is placed in the box and returned to kinder without anyone knowing what’s in the box. The children at kinder need to ask questions and guess what’s in the box. The Aim is to promote and encourage the children’s descriptive language and develop confidence in standing in front of a group of peers.
Our Current 4 Year Old Sessions in 2024
Each week our Dolphins and Seahorse Groups attend 2 sessions totaling 15 hours.
The teachers are responsible for keeping records and planning the experiences for the group and the educators help with the implementation of the plan.
All staff are more than happy to answers any questions you have regarding the pre-school, Teachers are able to talk about their program for their group. Please feel free to contact the pre-school to book an appointment should you wish to talk to your child’s teacher away from the distraction of the class.
Our 4 Year Old Teachers are free for personal contact on a Wednesday Morning.
